Generic Calendar PNG’s, Okay what is that?
These are files that I use when I need to make the yearly calendars. These are Generic Calendar images that can be used for any year I am working on. The images are PNG files with transparency. I prefer this file format when developing designs for my yearly calendars.
Are you still confused? Well, let’s take a closer look at these Generic Calendar PNG’s and how I use them in my Yearly Calendar Designs.
My Yearly Calendar Projects include various Wall Calendars, Desk Calendars, as well as calendars for Journals and Planners. With so much to do, I need an easy way to create My Yearly Calendar Projects. That is where the transparent Generic Calendar PNG’s come in handy.
How to use the Generic Calendar PNG's.
My go to site for Calendar information is Time and Date. This site allows me to print a calendar from any year that I am working on.
Once I have the calendar for the year that I am working on, I can begin My Yearly Calendar Project.
Let’s start with the month of January. January 2021 has 31 days and begins on a Friday.
I am going to look for the set of Generic Calendar PNG’s that begin on Friday and I will choose the one that has 31 days. (See pic below.)
Now let’s do the same thing for February. February begins on a Monday and has 28 days.
This time I will choose the set of Generic Calendar PNG’s that being on Monday and choose the one that has 28 days. (See pic below.)
I will continue doing this for each month until I am finished with the calendar. The pic below shows you one of the calendar layouts that I use.
Once this is done, I can concentrate on the calendar design.
In the pic below you can see how I used that calendar layout to make my Cupcake Calendar Design. This Cupcake Calendar will be part of the 2021 Cupcake Planner.
Choosing a Font for your Calendar.
The Generic Calendar PNG’s are expanded images. This means that the font is not live and cannot be changed. The font used in the Generic Calendar PNG’s is Myriad Pro.
Not having a live font for these numbers is a small price when considering the time saved by having these Generic Calendar PNG’s.
I can still choose the font for the months of the year and the days of the week. I will usually choose a font that compliments the design.

I have an AI file named Generic Calendar. This is the grid that I have put together.
You are welcome to work with these files any way you wish. This is only a suggestion. I put together a lot of calendar designs each year and this grid helps me streamline my work flow.
I simply find the grid that I need and then do a copy paste onto my project.
It is that easy!
